Yep... damm near killed me though.. only about a mile but hilly ... I can hardly bloody walk now... :lol: :lol: :lol:

i have been running quite a lot lately, killed me when i started but a few weeks down the road im feeling pretty good, did 3.5 miles tonight without too much of a problem, just hope it makes me fitter for the bike though, cant make me any worse, can it? :)

the last few moths ive been to the gym 2 times a week and circuit traning on a thursday which is all round really but i decided to run twice this week and it had far more effect on me !! was knackard at the end thought i would do alot better than i did

the key to running is pace, take you time, start a bit faster than walking pace and build up as you get closer to the finish if you run first you will burn youself out

I'm know for fast starting..and thats what I did... to my way of thinking if it dont nearly kill ya it aint done any good..:rolleyes:

i agree, i went running weds & started off running too fast, so got tired really quickly, went again thurs & slowed the pace down & ran twice as far!..... ran all the way from the carpark into kfc :lol: :lol:

I'm know for fast starting..and thats what I did... to my way of thinking if it dont nearly kill ya it aint done any good..:rolleyes:

Might have to bring the camera down your way and get some shots of this running business...then I can add to the 'Random shots that make you laff' thread :lol:

Well 18 hrs after me first mile in probably 20 years I can walk normally again... think i'll give it a miss tonight as I wanna be able to kick start me bike in the morning...:rolleyes:

Was thinking of going running again after Sundays lack of fitness.. but up till today i'm still recovering from riding.. hopefully by Thursday I might be able to cope with another mile..:o

My bodies in pretty good shape after the weekend, Not as much stiffness as i had expected (must have done a better cool down than first thought :o ) However my forearms are still very tight a true sign i haven't been racing enough of late. :mad:

Lucky you.. give it another 11 yrs and try douing the same... trust me it aint as easy..:o

I feel like i'm about to keel over with the pains i'm encountering under my armpits side of chest area...:o

Still give it 10 months and i'll be fitting fit again..:D

I hit the road @ 5.50am this morning for my run and followed up with some core stability exercises and press up's :D

That lasted about a week... my trouble is I always seem to overdo things... I should know better at my age but I still feel like a 21 year old... just cant seem to find one..:rolleyes:

Im glad to hear im not the only one acheing still! can just about lift my arms above my head. Triceps, biceps, forearms and shoulders are all sore.

Also got a nasty big multi coloured bruise / graze on my right thigh which is still quite sore though.

Tried this running lark the other week! took me about 3-days to recover, and i only did 30-mins!

I did a very short run again last night... probably only half a mile just wanted to see what wasnt working after Sunday... :rolleyes: Still suffering a bit under my arm/ribcage area.. but my legs work..:D

Got my run in again bright and early this morning, well Dark and early if i'm telling the truth.

I'm not getting hung up on times at the moment although i am recording my progress via the stopwatch facility on my i-pod, trouble this morning was pressing the stop button at mile marker 2 instead of the lap button :o

i keep telling myself im guna get out running, but its bloody cold when i finish work and instead stop off at my mums to go on the xtrainer in the garage on the way home from work, even tho thats just as cold in there.

i keep meaning to go for a run in the morning even if it is only 20 mins or so just the weather puts me off! i used to swim but now i live back home the local pool does not open till 7 which is a shame,

yea i go running quite often about twice a week + at gym.. it has deffinatly improved my riding as its CV endurance which is good to keep you riding at your best for a long period of time..

Bet it was like a holiday for him coming down sarf even if it was for just a few hours. Must be terrible knowing that you have to go back north to home. :lol:
