Just thought i'd get the general thought on this years 4fiddys and an outlook on 09...
Being a KTM man myself, just wondering what the current outlook on the big class is at the moment... being out of the racing circle for a couple of years due to one thing or another, i am looking at buying a new 450f or possibly a 250 2 stroke as my last race bike was a KTM 250 2 stroke and loved it... ridden many 4fiddys and think they are just as good.
But still i am looking at going 4stroke whats the good? The bad? and the damn right ugly lol ??

Mate in my opinion, unless you are a pro rider, i would go where you get the best deal.
I think all the 450's are good bikes, and plenty good enough for the club rider.
Me and Gaylord_Fokker were talking to an ex pro at the dirt bike show and even he said if you took all the plastics of these 4 strokes and rode them, an average rider wouldn't really be able to tell the difference.
In other words pick a colour, or find the dealer which gives you the best package.
Good luck, and welcome to the forum:xbeer

... yes that was a good chat we had !
Hi Matey... think your making an excellent choice with the 450F ... they are awesome bikes to ride
if i had was to buy an 08 i'd be pulled towards the Honda (cos my mate can get 15% discount) .... or a Yamaha
early teething problems with the new Zook .. and KX have gone back to there 06 engine or gear box i beliveve
i personally think KTM smokers are okay ... but would avoid a orange banger
... if i were to buy a bike tomorrow i'd buy a new 07 Honda....but i'll probably buy a new 08 when the 09's are released :)

My 06 RMZ was a cracking bike, but just not quite what the Honda is. For me its Honda from now on full stop :xbeer

Honda 450f and aftermarket clutch basket.
Working with Suzuki road bike fuel injection has put me off their 450f.
Like Fokker, I would not have a ktm 450f. 250f yes, but not the big bike.
