Hey, Im new to the site and this is my first post. Looks like a good setup that you have going on here.

Now, as for the problem

I crashed my cherished car last week in an accident which was not my fault. Now this accident happened in a bad area of town so it would have been far from a good idea to bring in the police to settle the dispute.... So in the end up it also turned out that the guy wasnt insured :mad:...

We decided to fix our own cars, being a student i dont have any money whatsoever to pay for a new car never mind fix the old one.

This is where you guys can help. I have a 1997 Suzuki RM 125. I have had it for two years now and didnt realise i had a small hole in the radiator... So what happened, it boiled :(

Myy question is this, is there much of a fix involved for me to get the bike going so that i can sell it on and mount some kind of cash?
What would th best and worse case senarios be?
Is there any hints or tips that you people can give that can help me diagnose the problem?? Iv got plenty of tools, a bit of know how is my only problem.

I can post pics etc.

Help would be greatly appreciated on this matter... Thanks,

Jimmartin 1

RMJJ is the man to answer this.

He loves Radio 1 and there isn't much he doesn't know about RM125's

He should be along shortly.

Fit the radiator from you crashed car.

Failing that

use playdow and sell it quick

Failing that

Send the rad to a rad repair shop

Failing that

Sell the bike to me as it is (none runner)

£100 and I'll collect it :)

Jim is it just the rad you need repairing or has the engine suffered any damamge when the bike boiled? If it's just the rad then it's not too much of a job to sort really. Quite a few places will be able to do it for you, but Fokker's mate sounds quite cheap so would be a good option.
