Yup these casings nowadays are turned out by CNC Lathes and Mills and have tolerances to 100ths of a mm so dont be fooled by the hype, when you take it to the welder make sure hes a good one with Tig, no disrespect to the fella but if he drags out a Mig, run because Mig aluminium welding on something like a casing would be nasty, IMO its not very good, Mig aluminium welding nearly cost me the life of one of my crew so now its only Tig on ally for me

I know nothing about welding

What is the difference between Tig and Mig

I always thought Migs were Russion fighter planes to be honest.

I can vouch for the good teachings of Mr Spags, i have followed his insturctions to the letter and lap after lap i can case every jump round tracks such as Cusses, Tony moto, Matterly ect
