Default Oily Pipe

I fitted a Pro Circuit Full exhaust on sunday and noticed that it was dripping oil from the join and out the end of the tail pipe.

I checked plug and it was correct and a nice tan colour. So would i be correct in saying a 1/4 turn out on the mixture screw might help stop it.

Running MX7 oil @ 32:1, and i did not have this problem with the standard exhaust.

ANy Tips appreciated.

Ta

Other than the oil does it seem to be running ok? (i.e. - is it bogging coming out of corners/feeling a bit sluggish etc?) It might be worth having a little play with the jetting/mixture, but if bike seems to be running ok then I'd only do minimal changes bit by bit and keep re-assessing as you go.

Spags - in your case it's cos you're not revving it enough. Happens to all Novices that

Bike runs no problem, fkn annoying that all the plastics get splattered in oil and it drops on the swing arm etc.

YEa so no boggin at all, just oily

I must admit last time I was on a 2-stroke I used to get a bit of oil in the same spots as you and Spags. Like you the bike also ran great, so I just didn't worry too much about it. MX7 is the top notch stuff and I knew I was on safe ground with the mixture - so I just went with it really rather than trying to run it any leaner and risking damage to the engine.

Yeah it could be that - as I say, if it's bothering you then just have a play at a Practice Track one day, trying smaller jets etc and take it from there.
