Contemplating racing Long Buckby, anybody know how many experts are likely to be riding? Unless Lee tells us not to ride it again......

Different club this time!! - this one is the Northampton Schoolboy club, and they don't run Experts and Juniors as such. They have 2 Adult classes though - a 'normal' one and then an Over 35s. Pretty full line ups in both, and some decent riders too.

Not sure if you've ridden Long Buckby before but it'll be a decent place to open the 500 up! Gets pretty rough and is a proper old school motorscrambling venue, with hills and everything!

Sounds good. Main thing putting us off is having to sit through all the bloody kids!!

If we do come we'll have both bikes, be nice to finally open the 500 up though. You gonna be there?

No - I've retired! Inury forces change of sport etc (partly explains the running I'm doing now instead). I'm awaiting a date for my third shoulder op in less than 18 months at any time now, but I've done with MX now I think. Time to move on and do something less dangerous!

Yeah it's that track Fokker. The track is subject to stringent noise testing and there's a neighbour who lives near by trying to get the place shut down, so it's definitely under threat. I think they are allowed to use it 4 times this season - 2 meetings each for the 2 Northampton clubs (the Adult ACU one and the schoolboy one).

There was another track at Long Buckby just down the road from this one called 'The Triangle' - used to be an old Practice Track I think, and this one has closed down so maybe that's where the confusion came in?

As I said, it was called The Triangle. A different track to the one where NSMXC are racing here, but it's only down the road. The track they race at has been known as Long Buckby National Track for years, so as to distinguish it from The Triangle.
