Default Use of levers?

When out on the bike I have always had 1 finger on the clutch lever and 1 on the front brake lever whilst riding. I notice that not everyone does, they have all fingers holding onto the bars and then reach out when need the use of levers. What do you do? Is there a right and wrong way? Whats the reasons?

Same, even though i ride a four popper and the only time i use the clutch is in tight and extreme stuff. Guess its just for safety incase i need to pop the front wheel up over a badger or rabbit

I also always have one on the clutch not always on the brake though, I can't really reach it when I'm on the throttle so I reach for it when shutting off the throttle. I'm weird though I use my middle finger...
