I retired after about six meetings spread over 2 seasons, I did two meetings on a QR50, [one of which I'm sure was the route of some nightmares I used to have about bikes running out of power or not pulling properly!] & the remaining on a YZ50. I had a very bad day at Border club which made Hollywood snr give me the ultimatum, finish the days riding or give up! [nb: not given in a horrible way at all, thanks Dad] I think that was in 1983,

My return to racing came in 1987 on the very same YZ50 that was sold on 4 or 5 years earlier, Snr, started riding again and we could ride at the same meetings which made things really easy. 21 years later and still going, although not as strong as I'd like too. The pressures of growing up and being a sensible adult have played their part in less MX activity over the last 3 or 4 seasons.

20 years and still fat and crap

Had some time out for a back problem in 98, and knee problems in 03 I think, but to be fair, I do most of my riding in the winter, far more fun, and more technial.

Love a bit of rutting me

i learnt to ride the pw50 then went onto a kx60 but gave up when i was 5 all my mates were playing football so i went with then

luckily,i got fairly good( played for somerset under 18's a few times) but then decided i wasnt having fun when it was only about winning

so at 15,i asked dad if he would help me get another mx,and he jumped at the chance to get me riding again, and here i am today

started when i was 14 and raced most weekends, gave up when i went to uni at 19, still had my bike and was keeping fit, planning to ride a few races in the summer, found out i was diabetic at christmas and that kinda knocked the stuffing out of me, got back on the bike 3 years ago, on my 25th birthday (same 96 cr250 i had at 19) got hooked again and now into it more than ever. I think i have 1 more good season left in me, 2009 will be my year, then ill probably retire
